July 27-31: Fossil Hunters: Field Science Camp (9+)

$250.00

This week is designed for older students ready to think like real paleontologists. Campers will explore geologic time, fossil formation, and extinction events while engaging in deeper investigations and hands-on projects. Through careful observation, field-style activities, and collaborative challenges, students will build scientific reasoning skills and gain a richer understanding of Earth’s ancient story.

A Typical Camp Day (Ages 9+)

Drop-off begins at 9:55am

Pick-up is promptly at 1:00pm

Our camps for older students follow a structured, in-depth rhythm designed to support focus, skill-building, and meaningful exploration.

Each day begins with arrival and a short open work period, allowing students to settle in and prepare for the day’s work. We gather for a focused morning meeting to introduce the day’s concept, guiding question, or skill focus before moving into deeper investigation and hands-on project time.

Campers spend extended blocks of time engaged in skill development, scientific observation, collaborative challenges, or detailed creative work. These sessions are intentionally immersive, encouraging persistence, problem-solving, and thoughtful craftsmanship.

We pause mid-morning for snack and movement before returning to continued project work or field-style investigation. After a community lunch together, the group participates in a collaborative activity, reflection discussion, or applied challenge that helps synthesize what they’ve learned.

These camps are designed to stretch older learners- building confidence, independence, and pride in producing work that is both thoughtful and skillful.

Campers should bring:

  • A snack

  • A packed lunch

  • A water bottle

Please have your child wear comfortable clothes that can get messy. Many of our projects involve art materials, natural elements, or hands-on exploration, and we fully embrace the creative process. Please label all food containers, water bottles, and personal belongings.

Because camps are intentionally small and supplies are prepared ahead of time, all registrations are non-refundable.
