Nature Scavenger Hunt: begins November 9th!
Calling all young explorers! Stop by Tanglewood Hollow starting November 9th to pick up a special nature scavenger hunt page designed just for curious kids. The page will fit perfectly on top of an empty egg carton, creating the ultimate treasure-collecting box. Your mission? Head outside, breathe in the crisp winter air, and fill your egg carton with nature items that match the list. Once you've completed the hunt, bring your filled carton back to the shop to claim a special discount coupon, a nature treasure, and an exclusive sticker! We’ll also snap a photo of your nature finds to feature on our Wonder Wall, showcasing all the amazing treasures our young nature enthusiasts have discovered.

Story Time with Willow the Stick Bug!: Saturday, November 16, 10:30am
Join us for a special story time with Willow, our friendly Sungaya stick bug!  Learn all about Willow's unique world- discover what a stick bug needs to thrive, how they communicate, and what makes them so fascinating.  We'll read an inspiring story that celebrates being different and embracing what makes us unique!  Perfect for young nature enthusiasts and curious minds.
Come ready for fun, wonder, and a chance to meet a real stick bug up close!

Story Time with Avalea, the Backyard Nature Ranger, November 23, 10:30am
Join us for Story Time with Avalea, the Backyard Nature Ranger! Avalea, a 13-year-old conservationist, is on a mission to help families discover the beauty in the world’s most misunderstood creatures. She’ll be reading her brand-new release, Tara's Close Encounter, a heartwarming story that follows Tara’s surprising meeting with a snake in her backyard! After the reading, you’ll even have a chance to meet a real, friendly snake—just like Tara does in the book! This is the perfect event for young nature lovers and families looking to embrace and celebrate all creatures, big and small.  Avalea will have copies of her book available for purchase at this event.

Midnight Merriment: Friday, December 6th
Join us for Midnight Merriment at Tanglewood Hollow as we stay open until midnight to celebrate the holiday season alongside downtown Concord! Stop by for a cozy cup of hot cider, explore nature-inspired gifts, and enjoy the festive magic of the season with us. We can’t wait to celebrate with you—see you there!

Junior Herpetology (& more!) Homeschool Science Series- Registration begins November 18th!

Beginning in January 2025: Embark on a 13-week science series on herpetology and more, where you'll travel the globe to explore the amazing world of scaly, slithering, and swimming creatures. Discover the diverse reptiles and amphibians that inhabit our planet, and learn about their fascinating behaviors and ecosystems through hands-on activities!

We will have some special guests, optional field trips, and lots of hands-on time with real reptiles during this series!

Mammals, Taxonomy (& more!) Homeschool Science Series- Registration begins November 18th!

Beginning in January 2025: Dive into the fascinating realm of mammals and taxonomy in this 13-week science series that journeys through the diverse world of fur, hooves, claws, and teeth! In this class, you’ll explore the wide variety of mammals from the tiniest shrews to the mightiest elephants, while discovering how scientists classify and study these incredible animals.

With engaging hands-on activities and interactive sessions you’ll gain insight into the unique traits, habitats, and survival strategies that define the mammalian kingdom.
